Writings on Golf

These may not all be soley Cragin related and may be some things that I find elsewhere.

One More Time Arnie Palmer played in his last Masters in 2002.  It was a one time thing that took more precendence than even TigerWoods winning.

U.S. Open Gone Public The 2002 U.S. Open for the first time was played on a public course, the kind that most people play every day of their lives.

Grumpy Old Men No, not the people who play in the Cragin.  These are golf's elder statesmen and they are not happy with their games or the games of some young whipper snappers.

Some Recommended Reading A listing of books on golf, both novels and other oddities of the game

Moe at the Open
I got tickets for the 2003 U.S. Open at Olympia Fields in Illinois

Arnie's Last Walk
Supposedly, Arnie said he played his last Masters two years ago.  Then he decided he wanted to make it to 50 years in a row.  This last goodbye was memorable.
U.S. Open, 2004
Hell, Phil, even I could do that.

Moe at the PGA, 2006
Don't ever bet against Tiger at one of the shrines of golf.  Seeing more golfers in one day than at the end of the tournament.  They're friendlier than you think.
Jack's Last Open
Even when as Tiger wins another Open Championship at St. Andrews, Jack bids a fond farewell to competitive golf.
PGA changing its name
The tigerification of golf is changing how we view and play the game itself.

Mini Cragin of 2005
In the year when there was no Cragin, Den and Moe still got together for some bragging rights.
Tiger vs. Jack
The comparison between Nicklaus and Woods is inevitable and the discussion is pointless.  They're both the best of their generations.
